Lucknow: The number of cows on the streets of Uttar Pradesh is increasing. This causes disruption to traffic. Realizing the hardships faced by people on a daily basis, the Uttar Pradesh government is soon going to start a cow sanctuary as a pilot project for the first time.
UP has allotted 52 hectares of land for this sanctuary project to be started in Burkasi city. Govt has allotted. Also, the central government has allocated Rs.63 crore for the scheme to be set up by the National Dairy Development Board. Government sources said that a tender notice will be issued soon for the construction of the 5,000-cattle sanctuary.
