Preparations for Mission 2025 for the Bihar Assembly elections were discussed in the meeting. At the same time, Sanjay Kumar Jha, a very close and trusted person of Nitish Kumar, has been given the responsibility of the post of working president of the party.
Nitish Kumar himself proposed to make Sanjay Jha the working president of JDU, after which Sanjay Jha was unanimously entrusted with this responsibility. In the two-day national executive meeting of JDU, it was decided to contest the Bihar assembly elections in 2025 under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. Along with this, the party also decided on the candidates for the Jharkhand assembly elections to be held later this year.

JDU leaders said that in this meeting, many suggestions were given by the party units of different states to strengthen the organization. In the meeting, everyone agreed that the party will continue to move forward under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. During this, there was also a discussion on fielding candidates from JDU in the Jharkhand assembly elections. In the meeting, it was emphasized that there should be a dialogue between the ministers and party workers. When a minister visits the area, the party workers should get information about it at the booth level.
Let us tell you that Sanjay Jha was in BJP before joining JDU. Sanjay Jha, who belongs to Brahmin community, is considered a big leader of JDU in Mithilaanchal. Sanjay Jha is a Rajya Sabha MP and leader of the party’s parliamentary party. Sanjay Jha contested the Lok Sabha elections from Darbhanga in 2014, but he had to face defeat. After this he became MLC and was a minister in the Bihar government from 2014 to 2024.
