New Delhi. Senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh has given a big statement on disqualifying Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat by showing her to be 100 grams overweight. Sanjay Singh said that this is not an insult to Vinesh but to the country. He said that Vinesh Phogat was going to create history in the whole world but declaring her to be 100 grams overweight is a grave injustice.
On this matter, SP President Akhilesh Yadav has also expressed his reaction and demanded an investigation into it. He posted on his social media account on Twitter and wrote, “There should be a thorough investigation of the technical reasons behind the discussion of Vinesh Phogat not being able to play in the final and it should be ensured what is the truth and what is the real reason behind it.”
Sanjay Singh said that the whole country stands with Vinesh Phogat, the Indian government should intervene immediately, if the matter is not accepted then boycott the Olympics. Let us tell you that Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat defeated Cuba’s Yusnelis Guzman Lopez 5-0 in the women’s freestyle 50 kg semi-final of Paris Olympics 2024. With this, she reached the final.
She had ensured a medal for the country by reaching the Olympics final but on Wednesday, news came that disappointed the whole of India. Vinesh Phogat has been disqualified for being overweight, due to which Vinesh’s dream of winning a medal has been shattered. Vinesh was challenging in 50 kg for the first time. Earlier, the Indian wrestler used to play in 53 kg.
