Sankranti festival brought money to TSRTC. It has been completely successful in attracting passengers with services such as running special buses with regular fares, giving 10 percent discount if tickets are booked in advance, setting up special lines at toll plazas and sending them without traffic jams. From the 10th to the 20th of this month, the TS RTC has brought a record 2.82 crore passengers to their destinations within 11 days and has also created a record in revenue. 165 crores 46 lakhs income was collected by the organization in 11 days on the occasion of Sankranti. That means.. compared to last year.. 62 crores 29 lakhs more was received. With this, TS RTC also broke the record of APS RTC. On the occasion of Sankranthi, APS RTC got a total income of Rs.141 crores, while TS RTC got Rs.165.46 crores. Besides.. every time APS RTC gets more income.. but this time TS RTC has transferred that record in its name.

And.. when it comes to kilometers, TS RTC buses traveled a record 3.57 crore kilometers. Compared to last year, 26.60 lakh kilometers have been traveled more. This time the occupancy in buses has also increased. Last time the occupancy ratio for Sankranti was 59.17, this time it increased to 71.19.

The management of TS RTC expressed joy on this record level of income. She thanked the passengers for their support. RTC chairman Bajireddy Govardhan Reddy along with MD VC Sajjanar said that the people have once again proved that the journey in TSRTC buses is safe.
