Sarath Babu Last Rites: Senior actor Sarath Babu’s last rites are complete

Senior actor Sarath Babu, who continued to be a popular actor in Telugu and Tamil, breathed his last on Monday. He was admitted to AIG Hospital in Hyderabad on Monday (May 21) as his health condition became critical after suffering from illness for some time. However, the doctors confirmed that Sarath Babu died due to multi-organ failure. Celebrities from the Telugu and Tamil film industry expressed their condolences on his death. Sarath Babu’s body was kept in the film chamber till last night for fans to visit. Later, he was taken to his home in Chennai. Today (Tuesday), the last rites were performed at Chennai Industrial Grounds by his brother.

Sarath Babu, who made his debut on the Telugu screen with the movie ‘Ramarajyam’ in 1973, hails from Srikakulam district, Amudala. His real name is Satyam Babu Dixitulu. Over five decades, he acted in more than 250 films in various roles and entertained his fans. His last rites were completed today in Chennai in the presence of fans and close friends. Earlier, superstar Rajinikanth, actor Surya, Radhika and others visited Sarath Babu’s mortal remains and paid their respects. On this occasion, they remembered their relationship with him.
