Ayodhya. Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple (Ram Mandir), died in Ayodhya. He was an admit in PGI in Lucknow since 3 February since the brain haemorrhage. He breathed his last this morning.
87 -year -old Satyendra Das was serving Ramlala for the last 34 years. He continued to work as a servant of Ramlala until he was seated in the grand temple from temporary tents. A few days ago, after the health deteriorated due to brain stroke, he was admitted to SGPGI’s Neurology Department. He was also suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes.
CM Yogi Adityanath wrote on X, expressing grief over the death of Acharya Satyendra Das, that the death of Acharya Shri Satyendra Kumar Das Ji Maharaj, the chief priest of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Shri Ayodhya Dham, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Shri Ayodhya Dham, the death of Acharya Shri Satyendra Kumar Das Ji Maharaj, died of extremely sad and spiritual world. There is irreparable damage. Humble tribute! Prayer to Lord Shri Rama is to give the departed saintly place at his Shri feet and give the power to the bereaved disciples and followers to bear this immense sorrow. ॐ Peace!

In 1992, during the Babri Masjid dispute, Acharya Satyendra Das was appointed as the chief priest on behalf of the then receiver. In a press release issued by the hospital on the death of Acharya Satyendra Das, it was said that Shri Satyendra Das ji, the chief priest of Ayodhya Ram temple, breathed his last today. He was admitted to HDU of Neurology ward in critical condition due to stroke on 3 February.
