The Saudi Royal Court announced that the Supreme Court approved tomorrow, Friday, the first day of Eid Al-Fitr for this year 1444 AH, after sighting the crescent of the month of Shawwal.
While the crescent of Shawwal was seen in Hotat Sudair and Tamir today, Thursday, and accordingly tomorrow is the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, so that tomorrow, Friday, will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.
The Supreme Court had called on all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to investigate seeing the crescent of the month of Shawwal on the evening of Thursday, the twenty-ninth of Ramadan 1444 AH, corresponding to April 20.
The court appealed to those who see it with the naked eye, or through binoculars. Notify the nearest court to him, record his testimony there, or contact the nearest center to help him reach the nearest court.
And the Saudi Royal Court statement reads: The Crescent Chamber of the Supreme Court held a session this evening, Thursday, the twenty-ninth of the blessed month of Ramadan – according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar – corresponding to 4/20/2023 AD; To consider what is reported about the sightings of the crescent of the month of Shawwal for this year 1444 AH, and after reviewing, examining and contemplating all that was mentioned in it, and in view of what was included in Supreme Court Decision No. (168 / AH) dated 8/29/1444 AH that Thursday 9/1/1444 AH corresponding to the 23rd / 3 / 2023 AD is the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan for the year 1444 AH, and because a number of just witnesses witnessed the sighting of the crescent of the month of Shawwal this night, and based on it, and when it was proven from the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, that he said: “Fast when you see it, and break your fast when you see it.” Agreed upon. The department decides: that tomorrow, Friday 10/1/1444 AH – according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar – corresponding to 4/21/2023 AD, is the blessed Eid Al Fitr day for this year 1444 AH.
And the Supreme Court, while congratulating the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Highness the Crown Prince, and all citizens, residents, and Muslims on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, to ask God Almighty to accept from Muslims their fasting and their prayers, and all their good deeds, and to reconcile themselves between them, and to support his religion and exalt his word, and preserve his faith. This country is its security, stability and prosperity, for He is the All-Hearing, the Close, the Responsive, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and all his family and companions.
