Today, Sunday, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs discussed, with European officials, the file of facilitating the entry of Saudi citizens to the Schengen countries without a visa, and working to fulfill the technical aspects related to this.
This came during a meeting with the Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister, Eng. Walid Al-Khuraiji, Head of Visa Policy at the General Directorate of Migration and Internal Affairs of the European Commission, Dmitry Giotakos, and his team on technical dialogue, where the two sides reviewed relations between Saudi Arabia and the European Union and ways to enhance them.
In the same context, the team held a meeting in Riyadh, chaired by the Undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs, Ambassador Tamim Al-Dosari, and Dmitriy Giotakos, to discuss the necessary procedures to facilitate the entry of Saudi citizens to the Schengen countries without obtaining a prior visa.

The two sides affirmed the desire to deepen cooperation and consultation to serve the common interests between Saudi Arabia and the European Union countries.
