The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, through the Qiwa platform, has conducted an update on the job transition system for workers between individual establishments.
The update came as an extension of the development of the ministry’s policies and services in line with the objectives of the labor market strategy, raising its efficiency and the level of labor rights.
Updating the system requires “enabling the worker to move to a new employer without transferring the unpaid financial compensation from the previous employer before moving and keeping it on him, while asking the new employer to pay the financial compensation from the date of the worker’s transfer to him,” as this update comes in the interest of all parties. By stopping the accumulation of unpaid amounts on the current employer, and not burdening the new employer with the burden of indebtedness of those amounts for a previous period in which he did not benefit from the worker’s services, and also contributing to improving the worker’s journey and raising the level of flexibility of job transition procedures between establishments to create an attractive labor market.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has provided a strong platform to enable the labor sector to access all its services with unified access, as it aims to create an integrated and competitive labor market that achieves the objectives of the labor market strategy.
