The Saudi Border Guard continues to provide security and organizational support in assisting those coming to Saudi Arabia from the process of evacuating Saudi citizens and nationals of brotherly and friendly countries from Sudan through Jeddah Islamic Port and other participating parties.
This comes within the security tasks entrusted to the General Directorate of Border Guards in the port and support for the humanitarian work that is provided in the evacuation process.
The Saudi Border Guard has published on its official Twitter account information and pictures about the participation of the Border Guard in assisting the evacuation of people coming from Sudan, contributing to the transfer of the injured, facilitating the entry of countries’ diplomats to receive the ship, as well as following it up and protecting ships anchored at the Jeddah Islamic Port dock.
The nationals were received by the commander of the Jeddah Islamic Port Security Unit, Colonel Abdullah Al-Qahtani, and a number of officers and employees of the Border Guard.
It is noteworthy that the Border Guard in Saudi Arabia is concerned with many tasks, most notably guarding the Kingdom’s land and sea borders, ports and seaports, combating smuggling and breaches of the border security system from inside and outside, and early warning of any unusual movements on or near the border line, in addition to search and rescue operations, guidance and providing Aid for marine media and marine firefighting, guiding the lost in the land and sea borders and providing them with assistance.
