Today, the General Authority of Civil Aviation issued its monthly report on the performance of the Kingdom’s international and domestic airports, for the month of August 2023, according to fourteen basic standards for measuring performance, in implementation of the strategic directions that aim to improve the services provided to travelers, raise their level, and improve the traveler’s experience at the Kingdom’s airports.
King Abdulaziz International Airport, King Fahd International Airport, Abha International Airport, Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Airport in Qassim, and Qurayyat Airport each received advanced positions in the report, as the authority followed the principle of transparency when evaluating the performance of airports, as it was divided into five categories, starting with the airport category. International Airport, where the number of passengers exceeds 15 million passengers annually, and King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah ranked first with a compliance rate of 91%, while King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh came second with a compliance rate of 82%.
In the second category of international airports, in which the number of passengers ranges from 5 to 15 million passengers annually, King Fahd International Airport took first place with a score of 82%, while Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport got a score of 82%, as King Fahd International Airport surpassed King Fahd International Airport with a score of 82%. In the third category of international airports, in which the number of passengers ranges from 2 to 5 million passengers annually, Abha International Airport ranked first with a compliance rate of 91%, while King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport in Jizan came second with a compliance rate of 82%, while Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz in Al-Qassim ranked first in the fourth category for international airports where the number of passengers is less than two million passengers annually, with a 100% compliance rate, outperforming competing airports in the total average waiting times for departure and arrival flights.
In the fifth category for domestic airports, Al-Qurayyat Airport ranked first, achieving a score of 100%, outperforming all competing airports in the total average waiting times for departure and arrival flights.
