Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made phone calls to the recently appointed sheikhs in the Emirates, congratulating them on their appointment to their new leadership positions.
He also expressed his wishes that these steps would enhance the march of prosperity and progress that the UAE is witnessing, and contribute to achieving what the people aspire to in terms of elevation and development under his leadership, according to what was reported by the “SPA” agency.
Emirates appointments
On Wednesday, Emirati President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan appointed his son, Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed, as crown prince in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, while Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan were appointed deputy rulers of Abu Dhabi.
Also, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, was appointed Vice President of the State, along with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
While Mohammed bin Rashid commented on these appointments at the time, by tweeting on Twitter, saying, “…with you and your brothers, the leaders of the new generation, the march continues.”
