Today, Tuesday, the Saudi Electricity Company completed the issuance of international sukuk worth two billion dollars, divided into two tranches, green and regular.
The company said in a statement to Tadawul Saudi Arabia that the offering value of the green sukuk tranche amounted to $1.2 billion with a maturity of 10 years and a fixed annual return of the sukuk of 4.632%, while the offering value of the regular sukuk tranche amounted to $800 million with a maturity of 30 years and a fixed annual return of 5.684%. .
The total number of sukuk issued was 10,000, with a nominal value of $200,000.
The company stated that it is permissible to early redeem the sukuk before its maturity period in certain cases specified in the basic issuance prospectus of the sukuk.
It stated that the sukuk will be listed on the London Stock Exchange, and the sukuk can be sold under Regulation S of the US Securities Act of 1993, as amended.
