While everyone is fed up with Virat’s one man show, some Pakistanis are trying to belittle Kohli’s achievements. Farid Khan, a journalist, tweeted that Kohli plays brilliantly when he is not under pressure. “When there is no pressure, when there is no need to win a series… when the pitch is suitable for batting… Virat Kohli is at his best. There is no harm in building confidence and regaining form in such matches. “India needs Virat to excel in the Test series against Australia,” Farid Khan tweeted.
Fans are fuming over a Pakistani journalist’s tweet that Kohli plays brilliantly when under pressure. Yes, Kohli plays well if he is not under pressure… They are posting a video of him hitting two sixes in the 19th over against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup.
Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Maqsood gave a scathing reply to Farid Khan’s tweet. ‘Can you say for sure that Kohli excels only when there is no pressure..? “Grow up a little.. Two wrongs cannot make one right” he replied.
A Pakistani journalist responded to this.. “Farid Bhai… Nothing is more useful than favorable conditions for a player to come into form. The match against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup was necessary when Kohli was struggling with a loss of form. Still India left the tournament. After that, Virat scored a century after losing the series against Bangladesh,” he tweeted.
Shakib replied.. “When Kohli was not in form.. he did not even run on pitches like roads. Tell me in which country and on which pitch he has not scored centuries. If they are trolling Babar… we know how big a player he is. We should not ignore it,” he tweeted.
A Pakistani journalist responded to this.. ‘Before 2020, Kohli has no comparison with anyone. You can’t be the best player of the decade without doing anything. Now he needs to find form in the Test format itself. I hope he will come into form in the long format too’ he replied.
‘The way Kohli is playing now… is worrying for any team as an opponent. He just crossed an obstacle. The flood gates were lifted. And he has come in a terrible form,’ the journalist took a U-turn and praised Kohli.
