After the first major operation that came out of the summer at the beginning of July, thousands of Spaniards will travel throughout the country this weekend. In order to know where to refuel, EL PAÍS draws up the map that heads this news story based on the public data released by the Ministry for Ecological Transition: you can check the price of 95 octane unleaded gasoline and diesel A (diesel ) at each of the more than 11,000 gas stations in Spain.
The average price in Spain for diesel is now 1.45 euros per liter, while that of gasoline rises to 1.59. But important differences are often found between service stations, even in the same municipality.

How prices evolve
In 2022, after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, the price of fuel rose considerably. In summer there were weeks with diesel and gasoline at more than two euros per liter. These prices arrived slightly softened to the consumer by the discount of 20 cents per liter that the Government maintained from April to December of last year.
According to Eurostat data from the last week of June, diesel has already returned to the prices of February 2022. So far this year, after eliminating the bonus, prices had remained more or less stable until May.
