Candidates who have no chronic diseases or infectious diseases and are in perfect health are eligible to apply. Up to 13 companions including mahram (consanguineous) can be added in one booking. But there is a condition that all of them should have selected the same package. Meanwhile, for Mahram, the condition of not performing Hajj within five years is not applicable, the ministry said. In such a case, a request for exemption should be submitted along with the Mahram application.

Applicants can choose one of the four packages. The ministry also clarified that the seats will be available on priority basis. Hajj permit issuance to new applicants will begin on Shawwal 15 after ensuring that they have completed the necessary vaccinations against Kovid-19, encephalitis and seasonal influenza, the ministry said. Applicant should register directly using mobile number which is not used in previous Hajj booking.

The Ministry also informed that if there is an incident where it is not possible to participate in the pilgrimage after booking and paying the fee for any reason, the permission to cancel the permit will be given. Officials also clarified that the terms and conditions issued by the Ministry regarding the refund of the amount paid in such situations will be applicable. In the first phase of booking for domestic pilgrims, only those who had not performed Hajj within five years were allowed. After allocating the required quota to them, the second phase booking has started.
