If not, the next step is to impound the vehicle. Commissioner AV Ranganath has issued a warning to the citizens under the police commissionerate. He warned that strict action will be taken if minors drive vehicles. He said that this provision has been imposed as part of measures taken to maintain disciplined traffic along with control of road accidents in Warangal Police Commissionerate. He clarified that after January 17, motorists must have a driving license to drive their vehicles. The police said that if anyone is found to be driving a vehicle without a driving license, their vehicles will be seized and shifted to the police station, and a charge sheet will be filed in the court under Sections 180 and 181 of the Motor Vehicle Act against the vehicle owner. It was explained that unlicensed motorists will have to show the newly obtained learning license documents from the transport department to the police. Warangal Police said that if minors drive vehicles, such vehicles will also be impounded and chargesheets will be filed against the parents or the vehicle owner in the court and also against the minors in the juvenile court. The parents of the minors who were caught driving the vehicles were told that counseling will be conducted with the police officers at the Warangal Police Commissionerate office. Commissioner Ranganath appealed to the motorists to cooperate with the police for the prevention of road accidents and regularization of traffic within the jurisdiction of the Commissionerate.
