He added that China will continue to play a constructive role in properly dealing with thorny issues in the world according to the wishes of all countries, noting that the talks brought very “good news” to the currently troubled world.

Today, Friday, Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed to resume diplomatic relations.
A statement issued by Iran, Saudi Arabia and China said that Tehran and Riyadh agreed “to resume diplomatic relations between them and to reopen their embassies and representations within a maximum period of two months.”
He added, “The agreement includes their affirmation of respect for the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their internal affairs.”
The official Saudi Press Agency said that the two countries also agreed to activate the security cooperation agreement signed in 2001.

Saudi Arabia and Iran thanked China, as well as Iraq and Oman, for hosting the talks in 2021 and 2022.
