Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee General Secretary Rajinder Singh Mehta has advised former Union Home Minister Amit Shah to give wisdom to newly elected MP Kangana Ranaut. Along with this, Mehta also congratulated Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh and Faridkot MP Sarabjit Singh Khalsa on being elected as MPs. He said that the SGPC will continue to provide legal assistance for the early release of the current MP Amritpal.
After the executive meeting held at the SGPC headquarters on Saturday, Mehta said on the (Kangana Ranaut) slapping incident that SGPC member and lawyer Bhagwant Singh Silayka will continue to fight the case for the release of Amritpal as before. He said that the court will take the final decision regarding the release.
He further said that as a public representative, the court should release MP Amritpal as soon as possible. According to Mehta, the victory of both the MPs in the parliamentary elections is a matter of great happiness for the Sikh community. On the Kangana Ranaut-CISF jawan Kulwinder Kaur case, Mehta said that Kangana should control her tongue, her tongue is unbridled. The reaction to the action has happened as a result of her hatred towards Punjabis, especially the Sikh community.
