Shabab Al-Ahly reserved the first seats in the semi-finals of the President’s Cup football competition, after defeating Ajman 2-1, today, Saturday, at Sharjah Stadium.
Al-Ahly youth found great difficulties in threatening goalkeeper Ali Al-Hosani during the first half of the match, due to the good defensive organization on the part of “Al-Borka”.
The first opportunity did not come until the 24th minute, through Bala, who shot a strong ball from the edge of the box, but the Ajman goalkeeper kept it away.
Ali Al Hosani shone again when he blocked Renan Victor’s header, after a corner kick from Cartabia, to keep his net clean.
Shabab Al-Ahly continued their attempts after the break, and Cascaro missed an unmissable opportunity after a pass from Mounis Dabour put him squarely in the face of the goal, putting it next to the post.
But Matthews Lima was able to end Shabab Al-Ahly’s suffering by scoring the lead goal after following up on Bala’s cross (57).
Ajman rose up, and Lethry Silva succeeded in returning the match to the starting point by scoring the equalizer thanks to a missile shot from a long distance that settled to the left of goalkeeper “75”. However, the joy of the Orange did not last more than two minutes, as Munis Dabour restored the lead again in favor of the “Dubai Knights” after a ball. A cross was played by Riquelme Hernandez, who rose to it and put it in a difficult angle for the Ajman goalkeeper “77”.
