Al-Sharjah strengthened its lead in the ADNOC Professional Football League, by defeating Ajman with a clean goal, while its direct rival, Shabab Al-Ahly, stumbled by drawing with Khor Fakkan 1-1, and Al-Wasl turned the tables on Al-Bataeh and beat them 3-1, and Al-Nasr regained the memory of victories and defeated Dibba Al-Hisn 3-2, At the end of the ninth round matches, yesterday.
Sharjah was able to continue its victories at the expense of Ajman with the goal of getting the signature of its striker Caio Lucas from a penalty kick he scored in the 68th minute, raising the “King” score to 24 points, while the “Orange” score froze at seven points.
In a second match, Shabab Al-Ahly failed to maintain its lead against its host, Khor Fakkan, which continued until the seventh minute of stoppage time, after Renan Victor committed a foul against Khor Fakkan striker, Matheus, with the latter receiving a penalty kick, which Laurenci successfully executed.
Shabab Al-Ahly had taken the lead first through its player Quan Santos, after a powerful shot he fired from inside the box, landing to the right of the goalkeeper (37), before Khor Fakkan equalized.
Shabab Al Ahly remained in second place, four points behind Sharjah, with a postponed match remaining for them against Al Ain, and Khor Fakkan remained ninth with 11 points.
For its part, Al-Wasl turned the tables on its guest, Al-Bataeh, after it was trailing with a goal scored by Ulrich Milecki in the third minute, and Fabio Lima was able to bring his team back into the match by scoring the equalizer from a penalty kick, after the ball touched the hand of Al-Bataeh captain Mohamed Ahmed (45 + 1).
Caio Canedo gave Al-Wasl the lead, taking advantage of Adama Diallo’s pass, and turning it into the goal (73), while Adama Diallo scored the third goal (79), after a great individual effort by Ali Saleh, who started from the middle of the field and put the ball on a plate. He went for Diallo.
Al-Wasl advanced to seventh place with 13 points, while Al-Bataeh’s balance was frozen at four points in the penultimate place.
In the fourth match, Al-Nasr – in its match with Dibba Al-Hisn – only needed seven minutes until the returnee from injury, Adel Taarabt, was able to give them the lead thanks to a header, and three minutes later, Al-Nasr won a penalty kick, which Ali Mabkhout successfully translated into the goal.
Leroy Ver widened the gap and scored the third goal after a magical pass from Othman Bou Said (27).
But Haitham Juwaini was able to reduce the deficit for Dibba Al-Hisn four minutes before the end of the first half. Dibba Al-Hisn continued its revival in the second half, and Maidana Kasama scored his second goal for them from a mistake by goalkeeper Ahmed Shambeh (57).
Al-Nasr raised its score to 16 points, rising to fifth place, while Dibba Al-Hisn’s score froze at five points in 12th place.
