Sharjah maintained the full mark at the top of the overall standings of the ADNOC Professional League, after achieving its fourth consecutive victory, against Al-Bataeh, with two unanswered goals, yesterday, at the opening of the fourth round of the tournament.
“The King” succeeded in making a strong start early, but collided with the brilliant goalkeeper Ibrahim Issa, who saved his goal from a solo shot by Luan Pereira, and put the game away in two passes (5).
The Al-Bataeh goalkeeper continued his brilliance by blocking Negasmic’s shot, which put him at a difficult angle, but Ibrahim Issa brilliantly converted it into a corner kick (12). He also blocked Caio Lucas’ ball a few steps away (25), and was on the lookout for a cross that Lucas received from the right side (41).
Al-Bataeh’s steadfastness continued until the referee of the match awarded a penalty kick, after Al-Bataeh captain Mohamed Ahmed touched the ball with his hand inside the box, before it reached Lucas, who successfully executed the kick to the left of the goalkeeper (65).
Two minutes later, Mohamed Ahmed gave Sharjah a second gift, when he passed the ball by mistake to Luan Pereira, which turned into a counterattack, through which Firas Balarabi was able to double the score.
