The Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, discussed with the President of the Asian Taekwondo Federation, Professor Lee Kyu-seok, at the Council’s headquarters, ways of cooperation between the two sides to support the development of sports in the emirate, on the sidelines of the training course organized by the Asian Taekwondo Federation at the Sharjah Sports Club with the participation of… 120 trainers in martial arts and self-defense.
Al-Hazami pointed out that such meetings strengthen relations and expand areas of cooperation with international federations, stressing that Taekwondo is one of the distinctive sports in the emirate. It is practiced by a large segment of young people, and has witnessed many achievements locally and internationally, while the President of the Asian Confederation praised the sports infrastructure in Sharjah.
