The bow and arrow team at the Sharjah Women’s Sports Club won 10 colorful medals during its participation in the Emirates Cup for Bow and Arrow, which took place over the past two days at the Al Madam Cultural and Sports Club in Sharjah.
The medals were distributed to 3 gold medals for Samia Odineva in the U-12 category, Maryam Al-Sayegh in the U-21 category, Rasha Ahmed in the women’s category, and 4 silver medals each for Mona Al-Sharaa in the U-12 category, Marwa Suleiman in the U-15 category, Noura Al-Mazmi in the U-18 category, and Hend Rashidi in the U-21 category. And 3 bronze medals each for Al-Juri Hussein, under 12 years old, Sarah Al-Balushi, under 18 years old, and Mira Al-Sayegh, under 21 years old.
The tournament took place with the participation of Abu Dhabi Arch and Arrow Clubs, Al Bataeh Cultural Sports Club, Al Hamriya Cultural Sports Club, Al Madam Cultural Sports Club, the Amiri Sports Guard, the Dubai Archers Academy for People of Determination, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Fujairah Martial Arts, Mleiha Cultural Sports Club, the Mishrif Academy, Sharjah Individual Games, and Sharjah Sports Club for Women.
Bodour Salah, the team’s manager, said that the club’s bow and arrow players presented outstanding levels during their recent participation in the Emirates Cup, and the results achieved were the harvest of a full season of local and foreign preparation and many official participations that the team took part in, which contributed to the club’s players being on the podium on a regular basis.
