Media reports announced that French striker Karim Benzema wants to leave Al-Ittihad Jeddah after a short experience in the Saudi League.
The Spanish newspaper Relivo said that Benzema is dissatisfied with the level of the Saudi League and his outcome with Al-Ittihad Jeddah.
She added that the former Real Madrid striker, during his recent visit to Madrid to receive treatment, shared with those around him his “sad adventure” in Saudi Arabia.
She continued: “The French striker, who is fully recovering from a broken calf, took advantage of his trip to Madrid to finalize some details of his new home in the heart of La Moraleja, and at the same time to vent about the “disappointing” experience in Saudi Arabia.”
The 36-year-old Frenchman has a contract with the Saudi Al-Ittihad until 2026.
Relivo said: “Benzema hopes to leave the Saudi League after an unsuccessful experience.” Pointing out that the former “Roosters” striker is working on completing some details in his palace in Spain.
