Maharashtra. Counting of votes for the assembly elections held in Maharashtra and Jharkhand continues today. According to the trends, Mahayuti alliance seems to be getting an overwhelming majority in Maharashtra. In this, BJP alone is close to the majority mark. While there are 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra, there are 81 seats in Jharkhand. By afternoon it will be clear whose government is being formed in both the states. Maharashtra Assembly BJP-led NDA alliance is leading on 217 seats. While Mahavikas Aghadi is leading on 58 seats and others on 12 seats. 123 BJP candidates are leading in the counting of votes. While 56 candidates of Shinde group and 36 candidates of Ajit Pawar’s NCP are leading. In Mahavikas Aghadi, Congress is leading on 20 seats, Sharad Pawar’s NCP is leading on 12 seats and Shiv Sena is leading on UBT 23 seats while other 3 candidates are leading.
