Shocked House debates with ministers about mad cow disease and bird flu

MPs were very shocked on Wednesday when they heard that mad cow disease had been found in the Netherlands again after almost twelve years. Agriculture minister Piet Adema reported in the same letter that bird flu killed more animals. Not 1.1 million, but 1.4 million animals have been killed.
