Bangalore: Former Karnataka Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah was contesting from Mysuru Chamundeshwari constituency. In the last 2013 elections too, he won the Chamundeshwari constituency and became the Chief Minister.
But when Siddaramaiah contested in the constituency in 2018, the Congress itself worked against him. Thus he contested in Chamundeshwari and Badami constituencies. He was defeated in Chamundeshwari constituency. In this case, Siddaramaiah was planning to contest from Badami constituency again in the next election. But it was reported that the supporters of Congress state president TK Shivakumar have decided to defeat him. Anji Siddaramaiah has announced that he will contest from the Kolar constituency in the 2023 elections.
