Veteran Brazilian international defender Thiago Silva announced his departure from Chelsea at the end of the current season, after four seasons spent with the London club.
Since his arrival to Chelsea in August 2020, Silva has played 151 matches in the “Blues” shirt and contributed to them winning the 2021 Champions League title, the 2022 Club World Cup, and the European Super Cup.
Silva (39 years old) said on the club’s official website on the “X” platform: “Chelsea means a lot to me… I came here with the aim of staying for only one year, and it ended in four years. Not only for me but for my family as well.”
