The brilliant Al-Ainawi youth, Zayed Mohammed Al Ali, was crowned first place, repeated, in the Riyadh International Chess Championship for Children, with a record participation of 130 children from 12 countries. Hisham Al-Taher, CEO and Managing Director of Al Ain Chess and Mental Games Club, praised this distinguished international achievement, which reflects the safety of the club’s youth and children base.
The championship competitions were held in 6 rounds according to the Swiss system, where three players were equal in points for the first place with 6 points from six victories for each of them, but the breaking systems determined the top three places with the victory of the British Charles Tyrer with a preference of 23.5, and Al Ain player Zayed Mohammed Al Ali achieved 22, 5 points, then India’s Shahan Saeed with 21.5 points.
