It is known that the song ‘Natu Natu’ in the movie RRR directed by SS Rajamouli won the Golden Globe Award. The song ‘Natu Natu’ won the award in the Best Original Song category. Music director MM Keeravani received this prestigious award. However, Chief Minister YS Jagan tweeted congratulating the RRR film team. He praised that the Telugu flag was hoisted at the international event.
“Telugu flag is fluttering! My congratulations to MM Keeravani, SS Rajamouli, NTR, Ram Charan and the rest of the RRR film team on behalf of all the people of Andhra Pradesh. We are very proud of you,” CM Jagan said in his tweet. However, singer Adnan Sami objected to CM Jagan writing ‘Telugu flag’ in this tweet. He commented that the ‘Indian flag’ should have been there.
“Telugu flag? Do you mean the Indian flag? First we are Indians. So please refrain from isolating yourself from the country. Especially internationally we are all one nation. Separatism is not good at all. We saw this in 1947. Thank you.. Jai Hind,” said Adnan Sami in a tweet.
However, YCP leaders and activists are furious over Adnan Sami’s tweet. They say that this is the self-respect of Telugus.. We have devotion to the country. They complain that we are not in a position to learn patriotism from you. IT Minister Gudivada Amarnath reacted strongly to Sami’s tweet. He countered that his dignity in Telugu would not take his identity as an Indian anywhere.
“We are proud of our language, our culture and our identity. I repeat, we are white. Adnan Sami, who are you to question our patriotism. Amarnath rebutted Adnan Sami’s criticism that my honor in Telugu will not take my identity as an Indian anywhere.
