The United States, which pumps weapons to Ukraine, stimulates the escalation of the conflict. This was stated by the sister of the leader of the DPRK Kim Jong-un and deputy head of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea Kim Yo-jong, her statement was published by the Central Telegraph Agency of the DPRK (CTAC).
“The United States, by pumping Ukraine with a large number of weapons, “distinguished itself” in stimulating the continuation of unstable world events,” Kim Yo-jong said.
She stressed that the United States poses a threat to Russia’s strategic security.
“We will always be in the same trench together with the army and people of Russia, which stood up to fight to protect the dignity and honor of the state, the sovereignty and security of the country,” Kim Jong-un’s sister added.
The head of the Russian delegation at the talks in Vienna on military security and arms control, Konstantin Gavrilov, said on January 18 that the United States is doing everything to make the conflict in Ukraine more violent.
In early January, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg considered it necessary to further militarize Ukraine, since, in his opinion, “weapons are the path to peace.”
At the end of December 2022, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also accused Washington of trying to aggravate the nature of the Ukrainian conflict. The head of the Foreign Ministry said that the Pentagon is openly planning orders for the US defense industry for years to come, as well as raising the bar for military spending for the needs of Kyiv, demanding the same from other members of the alliance.
The United States and other Western countries began to actively arm Ukraine against the backdrop of a military operation carried out by Russia since February 24 to protect Donbass, against which Kyiv has been conducting military operations since 2014.
