HathrasThe Special Investigation Team (SIT) has submitted its report to the government regarding the Hathras stampede incident. On July 2, 121 people lost their lives in a stampede during Bhole Baba’s satsang in Hathras. The followers of Bhole Baba give him the status of God. People consider the dust of his feet as prasad.
In the initial case, it was said that the stampede (Hathras) happened because people were taking dust from the feet of Baba (Bhole Baba). This whole accident happened because of this. Statements of 132 people are recorded in this SIT report. In this (SIT) report, statements have been taken from the police deployed at the spot to the victim families. In this report, every small detail before the accident has been noted. Agra ADG Anupama Kulshreshtha and Aligarh Divisional Commissioner Chaitra V have prepared this report.
On the other hand, 7 days after the Hathras incident, the UP government took its first major action. 6 officers including SDM, CO, Inspector have been suspended. The government took this action after the SIT report. The SIT submitted a 900-page report to CM Yogi on Monday night. Let us tell you that the two-member investigation team has recorded the statements of 150 officers, employees and victim families. The Chief Minister had formed a team after the Satsang incident and instructed to submit the report within 24 hours.
However, the team expanded the scope of its investigation and sent its report to the government on the sixth day. The team also investigated the report sent by the SDM to the DM, the permission given to the organizers and compliance with the conditions imposed in it. According to sources, the team has blamed the organizers. The team found that adequate arrangements were not made to handle the crowd.
