Captain Babar Azam revealed two changes in Pakistan’s final squad. Spinner Shadab Khan and fast bowler Naseem Shah re-entered the team. There were no changes in Sri Lanka’s final team.

Sri Lanka and Pakistan teams have faced each other in 16 matches so far in the Asia Cup. In this, the Lankan team won 11 matches, while Pakistan won five matches. It is noteworthy that the Sri Lankan team has won four of the last five matches played against Pakistan.
