The BSE midcap was up 14 points at 25,943.84. Shares of Jindal Steel, IDBI Bank, Steel Authority of India, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, ICICI Securities and Trend gained over 3% during today’s trading session. The BSE Small Cap Index rose 142 points to 30,788.40. Shares of Repro India, Pricol, Gokl Corporation and Dwarikesh Sugar Industries rose more than 10 per cent in today’s trading session.

Shares of Tata Steel, Coal India, Sun Pharma, JSW Steel and UPL were the top gainers in the Nifty 50 index, up over 2 per cent. Wipro, Tata Motors, Tata Consumers, HDFC Bank and Maruti were among the losers.
