with photosBritain’s Prince Harry attended the coronation of his father Charles in London on Saturday. He arrived at Westminster Abbey a little before twelve. As announced in advance, his wife Meghan was not there. After the ceremony he did not leave in a carriage, but in a BMW.
There has been much ado for weeks over the presence of Harry, who has strained relations with his family since stepping away from his royal titles. In his book and several interviews, he and Meghan spoke of racism within the British royal family, among other things. He also talked about the argument with his brother, Prince William, who allegedly physically assaulted him.
Still, Harry was there for the historic day on Saturday, arriving at Westminster Abbey smiling. Without his wife and children, who stayed at home in the United States. Their eldest child, son Archie, celebrates his fourth birthday on Saturday.
Not an official job, nephew is
Unlike his brother William, Prince Harry did not sit in the front row during the coronation, but in row three, where Prince Andrew also sat. He also had no official duties on Saturday, other than, for example, Prince George, the eldest child of William and his wife Catherine. The boy (9) was a so-called Page of Honor today, which mainly means that he helped wear the tail of his grandfather’s cloak:

Harry and Andrew also did not join the procession from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace after the coronation. Prince Harry immediately jumped into the back of a BMW, reports BBC News. Andrew also left in a car. Harry has reportedly been invited to lunch at Buckingham Palace.
The face of his wife Meghan could be seen on a striking sign near a group of people who demonstrated against the royal family in London. Meghan is the ‘princess of our hearts’, it read. The anti-monarchists may consider her a heroine because she has stood up to the royal family.
Although Harry has abdicated his titles, he is still fifth in line to the throne, it writes The Guardian. Before him come Prince William and his three children George, Charlotte and Louis. Harry and Meghan’s children, Archie and Lilibet, are sixth and seventh.
