Sultanpur.Troubles have started regarding the candidature of SP MP and former minister Ram Bhual Nishad from Sultanpur. He is accused of showing less number of cases registered against him in the affidavit given during the Lok Sabha elections.
Former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi had recently filed a writ in the Lucknow Bench of the High Court, which is being heard today. Maneka Gandhi had filed a writ in the court of Justice Rajan Rai in the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court through her advocate Atal Prashant. After Maneka Gandhi filed the writ, the political atmosphere of the district has changed.

BJP district spokesperson Vijay Singh said that former MP and former cabinet minister Maneka Sanjay Gandhi had filed a petition in the High Court to cancel the election of SP MP Ram Bhual. The hearing on which will be held on August 5. Maneka Gandhi has said in the petition that a total of 12 criminal cases are pending against the elected candidate Ram Bhual Nishad, while during the election process he has mentioned only 8 cases while filing Form 26.
In the petition, Maneka Gandhi has alleged that concealing criminal background is an act of corrupt conduct. Thus, it completely falls under Section 100 of the Representation of the People Act 1951. The election petition prays that on this basis alone, the election of Sultanpur 38 Lok Sabha Election 2024 can be declared void.
