Football club “Spartak” on March 11 presented a new official mascot of the team. The red and white mascot is a brown wild boar, which is dressed in a T-shirt that matches the colors of the club. His photo is presented in the official Telegram channel of Spartak.
In the past few years, the team has done without a mascot, and before that, its official symbol was a gladiator with a shield and a sword. He made his first appearance in several matches during the 2012/13 season. The figure of the gladiator took a place in the stands during home matches and took part in all club events.
It is known that on Saturday, March 11, Spartak in Moscow plays with the Voronezh Fakel in the 19th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). The match began at 16.30 Moscow time, Sport-Express writes.
Earlier, on March 4, it was reported that the Moscow football club Spartak played a draw with the Yekaterinburg Ural in the match of the 18th round of the RPL – their meeting ended with a score of 2: 2. Rai Vloot and Eric Bikfalvi scored for Ural. Ruslan Litvinov from Spartak answered with a double.
Before that, on March 3, Fakel Voronezh and Khimki near Moscow played a draw in the match of the 18th round of the RPL. This game was the first in the Russian Football Championship after the winter break.
