While it takes four hours to charge an iPhone from zero to 100%, experts have revealed a trick in the settings that could shorten this time by more than half.
In the details, technology experts, including the US Verizon network, explained a simple modification that would make your smartphone run four times faster and the battery charge could reach 90% in just an hour and a half.
And the trick is in the settings – just switch to Airplane mode when charging.
Flight mode
When your phone is in flight mode, it stops using cellular, Bluetooth, radio, and Wi-Fi features, which are constantly draining your battery in the background.
All wireless communication protocols are disabled once Airplane Mode is turned on, which is required of passengers while on board aircraft.
For iOS users, Airplane Mode is found in the main menu of the Settings app.
Once you open Settings, the feature will be visible at the top. Once you activate Airplane Mode, scroll down to Battery in Settings and turn on Low Battery Mode, which will also increase charging speed, according to the Daily Mail.

Charging speeds of up to 35 watts
Apple is set to launch the new iPhone 15 next month, which is rumored to support charging speeds of up to 35W – much faster than its predecessor, the iPhone 14, which had a charging speed of only 20W.
This means that the upcoming smartphone can be charged from zero to 100% in just one hour, saving valuable time for users if they are in a hurry.
The news was revealed by 9to5Mac, though it’s unclear if all iPhone 15 models will support 35W charging.
35 watts indicates how much power is being delivered to the phone’s battery, but if the phone does not support the charging rate, it will not be able to charge faster and will waste energy.
