Dubai: A fund of Rs 1,121 crore has been announced at the Dubai Expo to attract startup investment to India. The agreement on start-up funds was signed at the Indian Pavilion at the Dubai Expo. The agreements were signed by the Federation of Indian Chambers and Commerce and Industry, Indian Angel Network, startup funding company Turbo Start and professional service provider MCA.

The aim is to attract start-ups from other countries to India. According to media reports, Indian Angel Network Chairman Saurabh Srivastava has said that the company aims to attract startups from the US, Singapore and the UAE to India. It is hoped that this will make India a suitable place for startups from different countries to grow. The Indian Consulate General in Dubai said that a small initiative for this has just begun.
