State of emergency in New Zealand’s Auckland due to continued heavy rain and flooding

A state of emergency has been declared in Auckland, New Zealand, after heavy rainfall flooded much of the city. It is feared that the flooding as a result of the storm that broke out on Friday will get worse in the coming day and night. Residents of parts of the city must prepare for evacuation.
