New Delhi. Before the release of the economic data for the first quarter and on the last trading day of the month, Friday, the domestic stock market is witnessing a great boom. Sensex and Nifty have reached new record levels since the beginning of trading this morning.
As soon as the market opened at 9:15 am, Sensex opened with a gain of about 320 points and Nifty opened with a gain of about 95 points. By 9:40 am, Sensex was trading at 82,381 points with a gain of about 250 points and Nifty was trading at 25,226 points with a gain of 75 points. Due to this rise in the stock market, investors have benefited by Rs 1.75 lakh crore as soon as the market opened.
In early trade, most of the big stocks on Sensex were in profit. Bajaj Finserv was the biggest gainer by 1.5%. Stocks like Titan, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance were also in profit by more than 1% each. Out of 30 stocks on Sensex, only 6 stocks were in decline. The four big IT stocks TCS, Infosys, HCL Tech and Tech Mahindra were in loss.
On the last trading day i.e. 29 August 2024, the total market cap of all the shares listed on BSE was Rs 4,62,56,079.12 crore. Today i.e. on 30 August 2024, as soon as the market opened, it reached Rs 4,64,31,348.69 crore. This means that the wealth of investors has increased by Rs 1,75,269.57 crore.
