Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has responded to Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who advised him to stop the killing of children, infants and women in Gaza.
In this regard, Benjamin Netanyahu said on the X site, “Hamas, not Israel, should be blamed for targeting civilians. On October 7, 1200 Israelis were killed in an attack by Hamas. They entered Israel and massacred our people by beheading and burning them. This is the worst attack in the history of Jewish genocide.
Israel is taking all measures to keep civilians out of harm’s way. But Hamas puts innocent civilians in harm’s way. We have established safe passage into Gaza on humanitarian grounds. But Hamas is stopping them at gunpoint. Hamas, not Israel, should be held responsible for all of this. They have a double war crime.
In this context, civilized nations must support Israel in defeating the barbarism of Hamas.”
What did Trudeau say? “I demand that the government of Israel exercise maximum restraint. The world is watching you. Testimonies are pouring in from doctors, families, survivors, and children who have lost their parents through television and social media. The world is seeing the killing of women, children, and infants. This must stop,” he posted.
It is noteworthy that the French President Emmanuel Macron has already met Benjamin Netanyahu’s reaction by making a similar comment.
