New Delhi. People had to face a lot of problems due to the sudden storm in Delhi-NCR on Friday night. Two people also died due to the strong storm. Dozens of people have been injured in different accidents in Delhi and Noida.
It is being told that in the storm, trees were uprooted at more than 150 places and more than 55 buildings were also damaged. Due to the strong storm, power supply remained disrupted in many areas. There was a strong storm along with light rain at some places in Delhi and surrounding areas (Delhi-NCR) on Friday night. Due to strong winds, power supply was also disrupted in many areas of Delhi, Ghaziabad and Noida. Electric wires were also broken at many places.
Apart from this, 17 people were injured due to damage to buildings in the capital. Due to the storm that came at night, there was power failure in many areas. Even today the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of storm in Delhi-NCR. According to the forecast, the sky will be cloudy and there is a possibility of dust storm and storm with strong winds.
Due to this sudden change in weather, traffic jams were seen at many places in Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad. According to the Meteorological Department, strong winds are expected to blow at a speed of 50 to 70 kilometers per hour. Also, light rain and drizzle may occur in Indirapuram, Hindon Air Force Station, Ghaziabad, Noida, Loni, Chhapraula, Greater Noida, Dadri etc.
