The two countries have signed agreements for mutual cooperation and exchange of information between the Coast Guard.
U.S. embassy officials in Taiwan issued a statement on Friday on the deal. Responding to a question from Taiwan’s Prime Minister Suu Kyi, he recalled that China had in January ordered the Coast Guard to shoot down foreign ships if found.
He said China’s decision had shocked its neighbors and needed to work with mutual values for peace and stability. The United States is deploying coastguards in the western Pacific to assist allies in disputed waters. Part of this seems to be an agreement with Taiwan.
However, will America deploy its ships in Taiwanese waters? Or not? Is not clear. Thus, it is well known that Taiwan belongs to their territory, which is open to Chinese aggression claims. Recently sent warplanes with the intention of getting Taiwan out of the way anyway. In addition, fishing mills were launched over Taiwan in the South China Sea. The United States has strongly condemned China’s actions.
China is likely to lash out more at the United States with the Taiwan deal. Speaking at a recent meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, he indirectly warned the United States about Taiwan. They made it clear that they would not compromise on their claim to sovereignty over Taiwan. Hundreds of dredgers were sent by China to the islands near Fujian, Taiwan’s mainland. Taiwan Coast Guard forces captured them.
China is also promoting illegal fishing in Taiwanese territorial waters. On Thursday, a Chinese boat and 13 cabin crew were captured at the northern coast of Keylong.
