Stricter censorship in China: no corona stories and ban on showing ‘excessive consumption’

Chinese cyber authorities announce extensive censorship around Chinese New Year to prevent ‘gloomy feelings’ about the corona pandemic from circulating during the festivities. They will crack down on people who spread “rumors”. Online ‘glorification of excessive consumption and wealth’ is also out of the question.
