Prayagraj. There was an uproar over asking for ID from students going to protest at the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. Angry competitive students surrounded the police officers. Objected to asking for ID. During this, there was a fierce altercation between the police and the competing students.
The incident took place at the intersection on TB Sapru Road in front of Gate No. 2. Where the policemen deployed were asking for ID from the students. On knowing about this, the competing students put up strong resistance. Police officials said they were investigating to arrest any suspects at the protest site. Let us tell you that the protest by competitive students outside UPPSC is continuing since Monday.
This protest is against the decision of UPPSC to conduct PCS-2024 and RO/ARO-2023 preliminary examination (RO/ARO exam) in two days. There is deep dissatisfaction among the students regarding this decision of the Commission and they are demanding that it be done in a single day. The protesting students say that they will not back down until their demands are met.
The competitive students, who have been standing outside the Commission for 48 hours, say that the two-day examination system is causing injustice to them. According to him, due to two-day examination (RO/ARO exam), there may be variation in the examination results and discrepancies may arise in the normalization process, due to which the hard work of the students will not be properly evaluated. Competitive students are also opposing the process of normalization in the examination. They believe that this process may deprive them of fair results.
