New Delhi. The petition filed in the Uttar Pradesh 69 thousand teacher recruitment case was heard in the Supreme Court on Monday. The Supreme Court has stayed the order of the High Court. The CJI said that the order of the High Court will remain suspended. The next hearing will be on September 23. The CJI asked all the parties to submit a written note. We will hold a final hearing on this.
The Supreme Court has asked the state government and both the parties to present written arguments. Time is needed to study the decision of the High Court. In its decision, the Allahabad High Court, while cancelling the selection lists of June 2020 and January 2022, had ordered the UP government to release a new selection list for 69 thousand teachers in three months on the basis of the assistant teacher recruitment examination held in 2019.
Let us tell you that a petition was filed in the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court alleging neglect of reservation in the case of 69 thousand teacher recruitment. While hearing the case, the High Court had ordered to cancel the list of 69 thousand candidates selected in Assistant Teacher Recruitment-2019 and prepare a new list. The government and other concerned were ordered to release a new list within three months.
The High Court said that if while preparing the new selection list, any assistant teacher currently working is adversely affected, then the benefit of the current session should be given so that the studies of the students are not disrupted. Along with this, the High Court upheld the decision of the single court to reject the list of 6800 candidates of the reserved category.
