It is known that he was injured in a road accident late last year and is being treated at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital. For the first time after this accident Rishabh Pant responded on social media platform. Pant said that his surgery was successful and he is recovering. He said he is ready to face the challenges before him. He thanked the BCCI, BCCI Secretary Jai Shah and the government authorities. He said that he is indebted to those who have given him so much support and wished for his recovery. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to my fans, colleagues, doctors and physios. You have supported me emotionally and encouraged me a lot. Looking forward to seeing you all on the field,’ tweeted Pant. Pant’s tweets saying that he was recovering from the accident went viral within a short time. Netizens are posting comments wishing Pant a speedy recovery. On the early morning of December 30, Pant’s car lost control and hit the divider on the Dehradun-Delhi National Highway. Later, the car caught fire and was completely gutted. Meanwhile, Pant, who came out of the car, suffered minor burns. Pant dislocated his knee ligament and injured his heel. On January 4, Pant was shifted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. Ligament surgery was performed there for the cricketer. It seems that Pant will have to stay in the hospital for a few more days. BCCI has announced that they will bear all the medical expenses of Pant and will support him in all ways. It seems that due to the accident, Pant will be away from cricket for most of this year. Apart from IPL, there are almost no chances of Pant playing in ODI World Cup as well. BCCI has announced that Pant, who is under central contract, will be paid an annual salary of Rs.5 crore and IPL salary of Rs.16 crore.Read More And
