Aleksander Śliwka He has been playing in Grupa Azoty ZAKSIE Kędzierzyn-Koźle since 2018 and since then he has won everything there was to win with this team. He reached for it three times triumph in the Champions League, won the national championship twice. He also won Polish Cups and Super Cups. The 28-year-old is not only a guarantor of ZAKSA’s good play, but also its leader – he is the captain.
Śliwka is also a certain point in the Polish national team, although his play in the red and white colors sometimes left much to be desired. This was the case last year, when the receiver failed in some World Cup matches, a the fans began to demand more and more loudlyto remove him from the squad.
However, Śliwka quickly silenced his critics, and in the last national team season he confirmed that he is a world-class volleyball player. And in the absence of the injured Bartosz Kurek he became the team leader and captainperforming this function during the qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games in Paris.
It’s no wonder that the ZAKSA star attracts the attention of foreign clubs. Surprisingly, although the season has not yet started in earnest, there is already talk of Śliwka’s potential transfer. According to Przegląd Sportowy Onet, they are interested in the services of the Polish representative clubs from Turkey, Italy and… Japan.
Will Aleksander Śliwka leave ZAKSA? Łukasz Kaczmarek is also targeted by the Japanese
The last of the mentioned countries is a rather exotic destination for volleyball players, but it is possible that in the coming seasons we will see more and more frequent transfers of players playing in Europe to the Land of the Rising Sun. All because of the change in regulations – from next season, each Japanese club will be able to contract more than one and two foreigners.
As it turns out, he was interested in Japanese clubs several Polish volleyball playerswhich volleyball manager Jakub Michalak talked about in an interview with Przegląd Sportowy Onet.
We are currently conducting preliminary talks with the Japanese, and more will be said in January. Not only Łukasz Kaczmarek, Aleksander Śliwka and Jakub Kochanowski are of interest, but there are also inquiries about other players – Kewin Sasak, Bartłomiej Bołądź, Igor Grobelny and Maciej Muzaj
~ he explained.
Both Śliwka and the mentioned Kaczmarek, the contract with ZAKSA ends soon. However, the president of the national runner-up recently announced that he would like to keep both volleyball players.
“I can only emphasize that we will do everything in our power, for Łukasz and Olek to stay in our club. Managers probably know more about what the Japanese are planning. ZAKSA’s core has so far consisted mainly of Poles and we will try to maintain this squad that has been winning for many years,” explained Piotr Szpaczek in an interview with Przegląd Sportowy Onet.
